Judy Ottoson was raised in beautiful Boundary County, Idaho in the loving household of Raymond & Irma Merrifield with brothers Larry, Bob & Jim. Trinity Lutheran was their home church. Music was enjoyed by the family, and she was provided with instruction in piano and clarinet. Judy also sang in choirs. For the past several years her choice of music at St. Luke Lutheran Church has been with the Handbell & Chime Choir and the worship team "Celebrate Grace".

Judy married Bruce Ottoson in 1993, after meeting at their favorite pastime: square and round dancing. They finished raising their five children from previous marriages. Judy's children Monica Zhang (yes, our Monica!) and Kevin Ackerman joined Emily Briggs, Lucas and Jason Ottoson from Bruce's side. Miraculously, they survived driver's training with those teenagers! From farm to city living and now back in the country, Judy also loves gardening and nature.

With a BS degree from University of Idaho, Judy worked at the law firm of Gavin, Robinson, Kendrick, Redman & Pratt in Yakima much of the 13 years in that area. She is currently the Jury Coordinator for Spokane County.

Judy sings alto backup vocals for Celebrate Grace. She also creates most of the choral arrangements for the band.
