Elaine was born in Spokane, and lived all across Washington while growing up, from Pasco to the coast and back to Spokane. She started playing the piano at age 4. She was classically trained as an pianist and an organist. Elaine studied nursing at Deaconess Nursing School in Spokane and graduated with an R.N. in 1963. She has worked in numerous positions within the medical community and across the state. She is presently semi-retired from the Sisters of the Holy Name.

Her passions include gardening, playing both piano and organ, fishing with her dad and is a constant advocate for living a healthy lifestyle. She joined the St. Luke Worship Team in 2003 and has been a fixture at the ivories ever since.

Elaine is married to Brian, her husband of 42 years. She has three children: John, Greg and Kelly. and four grandchildren: Elaina, Emily, Brian and Katie. She has recently moved to Deer Park to care for her parents.
